Move management is never easy. But with the right tools you can become the expert for your organization. This session will provide valuable tools to help you plan & execute even the most difficult move. For beginning or intermediate level facility mangers the learning objectives are follows:

Speaker: Joyce Roper, Manager, Workplace Services, Global Business Services, The Coca-Cola Company

Joyce Roper joined the Coca-Cola system in 1990, and until recently managed over 600,000 SF with 2,200 associates. A recent decommissioning of one of the two Wildwood buildings reduced managed space to 300,000 SF with 1,000 associates. Joyce managed construction/renovation of more than 2 million square feet of corporate office space, and played a key role in the corporate design image of the former Coca-Cola Enterprises global headquarters and several other large business offices outside Atlanta. Joyce served as president of the Atlanta Chapter of IFMA in 2000, the first year that IFMA Atlanta was presented IFMA’s Large Chapter of the Year Award of Excellence, and has served on the Atlanta Chapter Board since 1999.

She played an instrumental role in support of Georgia Tech’s Master’s program in Integrated Facility and Property Management, as well as student scholarships through the IFMA Foundation. Joyce led the chapter in supporting Active Member sponsorships to attend IFMA’s annual World Workplace Conference and Expo. Joyce is a past recipient of awards for Distinguished Member and Achievement in Facility Management. Joyce values the role that our Associates play in the success of IFMA Atlanta and as Nominating Committee Chair in 2001 was responsible for the nomination of Atlanta’s first Associate Member to serve as Chapter President in 2002.

Speaker: Christy Lowell, Business Development Manager, Flood Brothers Commercial Relocation

Christy Lowell has been in the corporate facilities services industry for 9 years. Over her career she has worked with such companies as ADP, Delta Air Lines, Equifax, Facebook, Fort Benning, Randstad, Piedmont Healthcare and Vonage just to name a few. She helps her clients develop specific move plans to minimize down time & increase the efficiency of their move. Christy is responsible for over $2 million annually in new business development at Flood Brothers.

Christy has served on the board of both IFMA Atlanta & CREW Atlanta. Christy is currently the Vice President/President Elect of the Atlanta Chapter of IFMA. Before that she served as Vice President of Communications, Secretary & Membership Chair. She is one of the founding members of the Emerging Leaders Committee and for the past three years has served as the World Workplace Coordinator.

Christy is also an active member of the Atlanta Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). She served three years on the Board as the Communications Chair from 2010 – 2013. Christy is the 2010 recipient of the IFMA Award for Outstanding Associate Member and the recipient of the 2010 CREW New Member of the Year. She holds a BS degree in Business from North Georgia College and State University. Lastly, Christy is in her fourth season coaching her son’s baseball team.
